Well Smart Car Drivers,

It’s August already and the summer is flying by and the smart car is flying out of the smart centers at an amazing pace.

Here’s the numbers:

2,559 fortwo were sold in July across the country

while…

13,958 have been sold so far this year. This is according to the Herald Tribune

This has pushed sales estimates for 2008 from 20,000 to a range of 24,000 to 27,500 fortwo’s. basically smart centers have more than enough reservations, it’s just a matter of how fast can Smartsville produce and ship them to the U.S.

Valeo to Equip More Than One Million PSA Peugeot Citroen Vehicles With its StARS Micro-Hybrid System
